CRADLE OF FILTH Guitarist: New Material 'Is Some Of The Fastest Stuff We Have Ever Done'

April 18, 2008

British extreme metallers CRADLE OF FILTH are currently in the studio recording the follow-up to 2006's "Thornography", tentatively due later in the year via Roadrunner Records.

Commented guitarist Paul Allender: "I've almost finished the guitars on the new album, the new material is totally intense, it truly is some of the fastest stuff we have ever done and its fully loaded with orchestration. I can't wait for [everyone] to hear it."

CRADLE OF FILTH's "Thornography - Harder Darker Faster" special-edition MVI (Music Video Interactive) was released in the U.S. on February 5 (one day earlier internationally).

The album comes as a high-quality DVD Audio with plenty of extra tracks, videos, mobile content, MP3s and plenty of interactive bonus content.

Most of the new songs featured on "Thornography Deluxe Harder, Darker, Faster" were written during the "Thornography" sessions but were completed at a later date.

PureGrainAudio.com conducted an interview with CRADLE OF FILTH guitarist Paul Allender prior to the band's October 30, 2007 concert at the Docks in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Paul talked about the group's newest album, "Thornography", the years in the scene, and fans you would not expect to rock out!
