CRIMSON MOON Announces New Lineup; New Music Posted Online

January 24, 2007

Long-running San Diego-based black/death metallers CRIMSON MOON have announced their new lineup for the group's next — and probably final — album, to be recorded and released sometime this year via Kthulu Productions. It is as follows:

* Overlord (NIBIRU, TEMPLE OF THE DREAMING SERPENT) - Electric & Acoustic Guitars, Guitar Synth, Bass, Synths, Vocals
* Malefic (XASTHUR) - Guitars, Bass, Synths, Vocals
* Blackstorm (ABYSSMAL NOCTURNE, INFERNAL KINGDOM) - Vocals, Bass, Guitars

CRIMSON MOON is still auditioning for a drummer, and possibly a bass player as well.

Commented the band: "This new and perhaps final album has been in the making for almost 10 years. [It] continues where 'To Embrace the Vampyric Blood', and 'Under the Serpentine Spell' left off, and promises to be the best CRIMSON MOON album yet.

"Two rehearsal tracks have been posted, which are songs from the upcoming third full-length CRIMSON MOON album, to be released by Kthulu Productions in 2007. This rehearsal material was recorded between 1997-2000 solely by Overlord on a portable four-track and with an old drum machine. So the production is a little rough, but still gives an excellent idea of what the next album will be like. It should keep you satisfied until the new recording is finished, and until the next update."
