CRISS OLIVA MEMORIAL CONCERT Venue Change

September 11, 2003

Due to the large number of pre show ticket sales, the venue for the Criss Oliva 10th Anniversary Memorial Concert has been changed. The Memorial Concert will now be held on Friday, October 17, 2003 at The Masquerade located in the historic Ybor City district of Tampa, Florida. Doors will open at 7:00 pm.

Details regarding the venue, as well as a map of the area, may be found on the "Venue" section of www.crissoliva.com.

As previously reported, the Criss Oliva 10th Anniversary Memorial Concert is being held to remember and celebrate the life and contributions of late SAVATAGE guitarist Christopher Michael Oliva.

For the first time in eight years, bassist Johnny Lee Middleton and drummer Steve "Doc" Wacholz will join vocalist Jon Oliva and guitarist Chris Caffery on stage for the concert, the proceeds from which will be donated in Criss' memory to the CADD/Alcohol Free Kids Organization. Special-edition, limited merchandise will be available at the show and will include an AVATAR DVD with a 25-minute-long memorial of Criss.

As most SAVATAGE fans know, in the early morning hours of October 17, 1993 Criss Oliva and his wife Dawn were en route to the Livestock Festival in Zephyrhills, Florida when tragedy struck. They were hit head-on by a drunk driver. Criss was killed and his wife Dawn suffered severe injuries. Fans mourned the loss of one of music's most gifted guitar players.
