CRYPTOPSY To Announce New Lineup In October; Studio Time Booked For November
August 28, 2007Guitarist Alex Auburn of the Canadian death metallers CRYPTOPSY has sent the following update to BLABBERMOUTH.NET:
"CRYPTOPSY will soon announce the new acquisitions in the band for the positions of lead singer and keyboardist/samplist. We will release new pictures of the band by October and CRYPTOPSY will be in studio for the recording of their sixth album in November 2007. By early 2008, CRYPTOPSY will be ready to tour intensively throughout the world."
CRYPTOPSY parted ways with singer Lord Worm (a.k.a. Dan Greening) in April. No reason was given for Lord Worm's departure, but according to Auburn, the vocalist was "kicked out" of the band and didn't leave of his own accord (an account later disputed by Lord Worm)
CRYPTOPSY's last studio album, "Once Was Not", was released in 2005 via Century Media Records.
