DAGOBA Completes Recording New Album
June 4, 2008French metallers DAGOBA have issued the following update:
"We're happy to let you know that the recording sessions for DAGOBA's third album, 'Face the Colossus', have just been completed, after three weeks of hard and productive work in the studio! Vocalist Shawter is currently in Denmark with producer Tue Madsen (THE HAUNTED, HATESPHERE, MNEMIC) for the mixing and mastering steps. The album is tentatively due late September."
DAGOBA recently released a studio video report on the recording sessions for "Face the Colossus". Watch the nine-minute clip below (in French with English subtitles).
Tue Madsen previously worked with DAGOBA on the band's sophomore album, "What Hell Is About", which was released in February 2006 via Season of Mist. That CD featured a guest appearance on two songs by DIMMU BORGIR bassist/ARCTURUS frontman Simen Hestnaes (a.k.a. ICS Vortex, ex-BORKNAGAR, LAMENTED SOULS).
DAGOBA drummer Franky Costanza was featured in the May 2007 issue of French magazine Batterie, which was accompanied by an educational DVD where you can see him perform a few DAGOBA songs. Watch this 20 minute, multi-angle, mind-blowing video at this location.
