DARKANE Utilizing Services Of Guitarist TOBY KNAPP On SOILWORK Tour
January 16, 2009Former ONWARD/WAXEN guitarist Toby Knapp will be filling in for DARKANE's Klas Ideberg on the second half of the Swedish metal band's upcoming North American tour as the support act for SOILWORK. "Klas will do the first month and I will step in midway through the tour," Toby says. "I am not his replacement; he is still in DARKANE, of course. I am a temporary replacement and helping hand for these Swedish metal monsters. It will be great to get back on the road and I thank DARKANE and Nuclear Blast for the trust they have in me!"
DARKANE's North American tour with SOILWORK, SWALLOW THE SUN and WARBRINGER will kick off on January 30 in Rochester, New York. (Note: DAYLIGHT DIES will appear on the first 10 shows instead of WARBRINGER.)

According to the band, "12 songs ended up on the final version, with about 48 minutes of pure aggressive, brutal, melodic, modern, technical, furious, fast, heavy and insane thrash metal! We are very proud of this album and we know for sure that if you liked what we've done before you won't be disappointed in any way this time either. DARKANE has developed in a way that hopefully will give us new fans as well, not meaning that we've turned softer or more mainstream... just better! ...and more humble."
