DECREPIT BIRTH: New Album Title Announced

October 26, 2006

Guitarist/vocalist Matt Sotelo of the Santa Cruz, California-based death metallers DECREPIT BIRTH has issued the following update:

"The new [DECREPIT BIRTH] album will be called 'Diminishing Between Worlds'. This album will be a step in more of a melodic and progressive direction yet still have a heavy dose of technical brutality. Very reminiscent of bands such as later DEATH, CYNIC and QUO VADIS mixed with the brutality that DECREPIT BIRTH is known for. We are really trying to do something new with album, and we feel that we have grown as musicians and that 'Diminishing Between Worlds' will be a reflection of that. We are very happy to get to work with Unique Leader Records again, and we are confident that they will greatly contribute to the success of DECREPIT BIRTH from now into the future. The album will feature session/touring bassist Erlend Caspersen (BLOOD RED THRONE, ALL SEEING I). Artwork will be by none other than Dan Seagrave."

DECREPIT BIRTH's debut album, "...And Time Begins", was released in October 2003 via Unique Leader Records.
