DECREPIT BIRTH Parts Ways With Bassist, Seeks Replacement

September 27, 2006

Santa Cruz, California-based death metallers DECREPIT BIRTH have issued the following update:

"Well, the time has come to announce that Risha Eryavec is stepping down from his duties as our bassist. Due to location changes, we have decided to part ways. Risha is still a good friend of ours and there is absolutely no bad blood between us and him. We want to thank him for all his hard work and dedication, [and] we wish him luck in whatever he pursues.

"As of now, we are searching for a full-time bassist to join DECREPIT BIRTH. We are looking for someone who is able to tour, record and practice with the band as a working and professional-minded member. The band is gearing up for a European tour in January of 2007 and we will need someone who can learn nine songs by that time and be ready to spend the month of January on tour.

"In order to be considered for the position you must be able to learn these two songs which are provided in powertab form. Links available here: 'And Time Begins' [link] and 'Prelude to the Apocalypse' [here]. A video of some sort will need to be provided of you playing both songs in their entirety.

"If you feel that you are the right person for the job please contact us at [email protected]."

DECREPIT BIRTH's debut album, "...And Time Begins", was released in October 2003 via Unique Leader Records.
