DEEP PURPLE Guitarist's Collaboration With SARAH SPENCER To See Light Of Day
February 17, 2009According to a posting on the Deep Purple Appreciation Society, DEEP PURPLE guitarist Steve Morse collaborated with singer/songwriter Sarah Spencer on an album, "Angelfire", which is scheduled to be released in early 2009 on Radiant Records in America. It also features Van Romaine on drums/percussion and Dave La Rue on bass.
Morse previously stated about the project: "It's kind of acoustic stuff that I wrote with this girl singer [Sarah Spencer] that is so good. I knew her parents and they said, 'You've got to hear my daughter.' I heard her, and she was really pretty good. So I listened to more stuff, and I said, 'ring her over and let's see if we can write something together.' We did, and that first take, just nailed it."
