DEEP PURPLE: LED ZEPPELIN Stars Decline To Jam With Band At Brighton Concert

December 9, 2004

Brighton, U.K.'s daily newspaper The Argus reported in its Nov. 24 edition that LED ZEPPELIN stars Jimmy Page and Robert Plant came along to DEEP PURPLE's sold-out gig at the Brighton Centre last month. After being "begged to get on stage and join their old mockers," they declined, preferring to watch along with the fans.

As previously reported, DEEP PURPLE frontman Ian Gillan and producer Michael Bradford (KID ROCK, last DP album, "Bananas") are planing to work in February on ideas for the group's next album. Gillan will also begin work on a new solo CD.
