DEFENDER Singer Answers Fan-Submitted Questions (Video)

March 8, 2011

DEFENDER, the newly formed Los Angeles-based heavy metal band featuring founding CELLADOR members Bill Hudson (guitar) and Mikey Gremio (vocals) alongside ZODIAC MINDWARP/ex-REVOLUTION RENAISSANCE drummer Bruno Agra, has posted a new video update.

Singer Mikey Gremio answered fan-submitted questions about the how the band came to be as well as its future and lyrical direction. A short clip of the new track, entitled "Blackened Heart" can also be heard.

Drawing influences from classics like IRON MAIDEN, PANTERA, HELLOWEEN, SKID ROW and METALLICA all the way to the modern hard rock made by SHINEDOWN, AVENGED SEVENFOLD and THREE DAYS GRACE, as well as the aggressiveness of SLAYER, FEAR FACTORY and MESHUGGAH, DEFENDER intends to create catchy songs with great, hooky melodies, intricate and technical guitar work and heavy, and precise riffing. Lyrically, they touch both real and fictional subjects, such as a futuristic third world war or the need to live here and now before it's too late.

DEFENDER is currently in pre-production for its debut album and will release an EP, entitled "WWIII", this year.

DEFENDER is:

Mikey Gremio: Lead Vocals
Bill Hudson: Guitar, Vocals
Bruno Angra: Drums, Vocals
John Killall: Guitar, Vocals
