DEPSWA Working On New CD

March 8, 2007

Los Angeles-based band DEPSWA is currently in the studio finishing up material for the follow-up to their June 2003 release "Two Angels and a Dream" (Geffen). The new CD, tentatively titled "Tears and Smiles", will once again feature plenty of melody and dynamics, but it will also push the boundaries a little further, "adding a rawer guitar sound and more lead guitar and bass work," according to a press release. Guitarist Dan Noonan states, "This is the best material we've written to date and it really shows how we've matured as musicians and songwriters." Rough mixes of "Performance after the Show" and "Hold On" have recently been posted on the band's MySpace page. DEPSWA aims to have the new CD completed sometime in April and released this year through an as-yet undetermined label. The band is currently speaking to a handful of veteran mixing engineers to decide who will handle the mixing duties.

In other new, DEPSWA is headlining a FREE show at the Key Club in West Hollywood on Thursday, March 15 with FOUR STAR YOUTH, TURN OF THE SCREW, OMENUS, CENTOX, and LESS THAN ZERO.
