DIVINE HERESY Drummer Schedules NAMM Appearances
January 14, 2009Drummer Tim Yeung (DIVINE HERESY, ex-ALL THAT REMAINS, NILE, HATE ETERNAL, VITAL REMAINS) kicks off the New Year with a series of signings at the Axis Percussion and ddrum booth at this year's NAMM (National Association Of Music Merchants),which is being held January 15-18 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. See below for his complete NAMM schedule.
Comments Yeung: "I will be heading down to Anaheim for NAMM and have a bunch of exciting things lined up, including some performances at the ddrum booth and an autograph signing at the Axis Percussion booth. I'm going to be in and out of the Sabian and Vic Firth booths throughout the weekend as well, so be sure to come and say hello. As for DIVINE HERESY, we start recording our second album early next month and it's going to be faster than ever."
Three years ago, Yeung proved that he is easily one of the most skilled players in the extreme metal genre, winning Axis' 2006 "World's Fastest Drummer" competition.
Friday, January 16:
Axis Percussion Signing – 4:00 p.m.
Saturday, January 17:
ddrum Booth – 4:00 p.m.
Important: The NAMM show is **NOT** open to the public. The only attendees are NAMM member companies and their invited guests.
DIVINE HERESY's much-anticipated sophomore CD will be the group's first with new vocalist Travis Neal (THE BEREAVED, PUSHED). The band plans on hitting the studio on February 1, once again with acclaimed producing team Dirty Icon (Logan Mader and Lucas Banker),which has recently worked with CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, GOJIRA and FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH. DIVINE HERESY will also co-produce the new effort.
After a year and a half of touring with the likes of ALL THAT REMAINS, STATIC-X, ARCH ENEMY, CHIMAIRA and SHADOWS FALL, DIVINE HERESY has proven that it is a stellar live act and is a force to be reckoned with.
Commented Cazares: "With Neal now having a few shows under his belt, his confidence is coming across through the new material. The songwriting process has been great and the ideas are constantly flowing. Collaborating with Tim Yeung [drums], Joe Payne [bass] and Neal, all together hashing out ideas in the practice space, has been very therapeutic and enjoyable. We all have a collective desire to take our performances to the next level with this release to undoubtedly prove that we are one of the most devastating bands in the scene today. Prepare to be annihilated and stay tuned to our MySpace page for studio reports and new video footage."
