April 15, 2008

British extreme epic power metallers DRAGONFORCE are set for a UK tour this September. The trek will follow the release of the band's as-yet-untitled new album, which is pencilled to hit stores on August 25.

Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday, April 18 and can be pre-ordered from Wednesday morning (April 16) at www.livenation.co.uk.

The details are as follows:

Sep. 26 - Manchester Academy
Sep. 27 - Birmingham Academy
Sep. 28 - Southampton Guildhall
Sep. 30 - Cardiff University
Oct. 01 - Nottingham Rock City
Oct. 03 - London Astoria
Oct. 05 - Norwich UEA
Oct. 07 - Leeds University
Oct. 08 - Newcastle Academy
Oct. 10 - Glasgow Academy
Oct. 11 - Belfast Mandela Hall
Oct. 12 - Dublin Ambassador Theatre
Oct. 13 - Cork Savoy

Support on the dates will come from Finnish metal merauders TURISAS.

DRAGONFORCE is currently hard at work completing the new CD before heading Stateside in late June for the start of the inaugural Rockstar Energy Mayhem touring festival. The package kicks off in early July and is headlined by Roadrunner labelmates SLIPKNOT.

DRAGONFORCE's last album, "Inhuman Rampage", is still romping out of stores on both sides of the pond, thanks in part to the inclusion of lead track "Through The Fire And Flames" as the "advanced" level on the top-selling Guitar Hero III computer game.

Elsewhere in DRAGONFORCE news, guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman recently launched their new signature guitars at the NAMM show in Anaheim, California. You can check out the details over at www.ibanez.com. Also look out for the exclusive interview with Sam.
