May 17, 2008

Guitarist/songwriter K.S. Kuciemba of the Northwest death metal band DRAWN AND QUARTERED has posted the following message on the group's MySpace page:

"Any guitar enthusiast that would like group or one-on-one lessons can contact me during the tour and we'll schedule a session. Contact me with your info and contact at least one day before we hit your town. Topics to include set-ups for detuned guitars, chords, scales and musical devices we use, insight into the recording of our five CDs and many demos, producing music videos, how to get a band off the ground, what it takes to get signed, endorsement deals, what to expect as an underground musician.

"When I started out, I did massive research and spent years of trial and error, and could have used info like this from someone who had these experiences.

"The price is $25.00 per half hour, group rates available. Check out the tour dates on this blog, then contact me for a lesson."

DRAWN AND QUARTERED's fifth album, "Merciless Hammer of Lucifer", was released in June 2007 via Moribund Records. The CD was recorded at the Autopsy Room with Jesse O' Donnell and was mastered by Kevin Nettlingham. The album contained three videos, including the clip for the title track (see below),and the first 3,000 copies came with a bonus CD of rare and unreleased tracks, including the hard-to-find 2002 EP "Crusaders of Blasphemy". The cover art was created by Gabriel Byrne.
