Drummer NICK BARKER To Tour With BENEDICTION

February 3, 2010

Long-running Birmingham, U.K.-based extreme metallers BENEDICTION have issued the following update:

"Well, we start gigging again soon but there will be a slight change in lineup for this year's dates. Neil Hutton will not be drumming with us this year (except for the Saturday, May 1st show in London with BOLT THROWER where he will be behind the kit) as personal reasons dictate that he is unable to do so. So, as usual, we have dragged in our good friend Nicholas Barker (CRADLE OF FILTH, DIMMU BORGIR, LOCK UP) to smash the kit up behind us.

"Nick has been a close friend for years and has shared the stage with us on numerous occasions over the last decade. Nicholas will be banned from doing blastbeats with us, though! So turn up and enjoy the shows this year."

BENEDICTION's latest album, "Killing Music", was released in North America in September 2008 via Locomotive Records. The follow-up to 2001's "Organized Chaos" was produced by ANAAL NATHRAKH mastermind Mick Kenney and features several guest musicians, including Karl Willets (BOLT THROWER),Kelly Shaefer (ATHEIST),Billy Gould (ex-FAITH NO MORE),The Fog (FROST),Markus Staiger (Nuclear Blast Records owner) and Thorsten Zahn from Metal Hammer Germany. A limited-edition version of the album includes two bonus tracks and a DVD.
