ELECTRIC WIZARD Begins Recording New Album

British doom veterans ELECTRIC WIZARD have entered the studio to begin recording their as-yet-untitled new CD, due later in the year. "Some basic tracks have been laid down and one song has been completed," the band writes in an update.

Regarding the new material, the band said, "It's about the riffs, man." Among the cuts set for inclusion on the LP is a 20-minute organ-led epic entitled "Black Magic Rituals and Perversions".

On the subject of the recording studio, the group said, "It's totally authentic 60's recording studio just like SABBATH would have recorded — absolutley no modern shit at all. It's a real honor to be able to record here and to work with people who understand our sound and equipment."

Recording sessions are scheduled until the end of June.
