ENFORSAKEN Set Working Title For New Album
March 28, 2005Arlington Heights, Illinois-based death metallers ENFORSAKEN have set "Sinners' Institution" as the working title of their new album, tentatively due this fall via Century Media/Olympic Records. The follow-up to 2004's "The Forever Endeavor" will be recorded in May and will feature artwork by Dutch artist Fred Vanhardeveld. "Fred has sent us quite a few samples already, and things are looking pretty good!" the band write on their web site.
Regarding the direction of the new material, the group write, "The new music is much darker/heavier than some of our earlier material, but at the same time, still very melodic. Two years have passed since 'The Forever Endeavor' sessions, and we definitely have 'evolved' a bit. This time we really want to try and get the art to match the feel of the music. We basically have all the material written for the next cd at this point, so now it's just a matter of fine-tuning a few things. . .We'll also return to playing live shows this summer. We're looking to play quite a few shows in July and August. We'd like to do some out of state road trips, so if you're in a band/promoter and can book us, let us know! Just email us @ [email protected] if interested.'
"The Forever Endeavor" was released in Japan last September through Soundholic Records (in North America in March 2004 through Century Media/Olympic Records). The Japanese pressing of the CD includes four additional "bonus" tracks — three previously unreleased numbers and a cover of CARCASS' "Incarnated Solvent Abuse".
