EUROPE Confirmed For Finland's ROCKPERRY Festival

February 13, 2004

Reunited Swedish hard rockers EUROPE have been confirmed for the 2004 edition of the Rockperry festival (web site),set to be held July 16-17 in Vaasa, Finland. As previously reported, EUROPE are slated to co-headline this year's installment of Sweden Rock festival, which will take place June 10-12 in Sölvesborg, Sweden. EUROPE will top the bill on Saturday, June 12, while JUDAS PRIEST will close the day's festivities on Thursday, June 10.

In other news, a representative from Sweden Rock Festival was recently invited to the studio in Gothenburg, Sweden where EUROPE are recording their new album. After listening to three new songs, his comment was, "I heard three songs of which two were heavy and one a ballad. The heavy songs were really riff-oriented, almost SABBATH-y in their approach, but well balanced with [singer] Joey [Tempest]'s voice. The ballad was pretty heavy, too! This will be a killer album."
