EVILE Pulls Out Of France's HELLFEST

June 20, 2008

UK thrashers EVILE have been forced to cancel their appearance this afternoon (Friday, June 20) at the Hellfest in Clisson, France "due to transport issues beyond their control," according to a statement released by the group. "The band apoligise to anyone heading out there to see them and hope that everyone still has an awesome festival."

EVILE's Flemming Rassmusen-produced (METALLICA, MORBID ANGEL) debut album, "Enter the Grave", was released last August via Earache Records.

In an interview with UK magazine Metal Hammer, vocalist Matt Drake shared his views on working with the famed "Master of Puppets" (METALLICA) producer: "He's a family man. We went to his house for dinner and met his son. He's a bit nuts as well, but he's really nice. And he actually likes what we're doing as well. Because he stepped away from doing metal bands, and only does about one a year, because everyone is probably approaching him saying, 'Make us sound like METALLICA.'"

EVILE recently supported MEGADETH and EXODUS on their respective European tours.
