Black previously stated about DISASTERPEACE: "Pete came out and took the stage with BLACK REIGN on September 29 [2007] and before the set was done we both knew that this collaboration could not and would not end with one gig. The only choice we had was to unite our metal visions under one name, and that name is DISASTERPEACE. This band will be everything we've been and everything we've wanted to be as musicians, songwriters, and performers."
Black added, "It's a total thrill to be working with a legendary guitarist like Pete Blakk. Anyone who knows metal knows the awesome work Pete did with KING DIAMOND, but when you hear where he's coming from now, you will be blown away and blown to pieces!"
As to what DISASTERPEACE would sound like, Wade offered: "Brutal. A skull-pounding, headbanging assault, but with a twist: we're not turning our backs on melodies or choruses. Melodic aggression at its finest!"
