FACE OF RUIN Joined By HUMAN ARTIFACTS/LIVIDITY's MATT BISHOP

October 22, 2010

Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based progressive death metallers FACE OF RUIN have recruited Matt Bishop (HUMAN ARTIFACTS, LIVIDITY) as their new vocalist. The band states, "You'll find, in the context of death metal vocal ranges, that [Matt's addition to the band] will be a much needed expansion of our abilities...and we can't wait for you to hear the results."

FACE OF RUIN's three-song EP — which was recorded before Bishop joined the band — was produced by Jeramie Kling and features a guest solo by Patrick Pintavalle of THE ABSENCE. The arwork was created by Paul Gerrard.

FACE OF RUIN has commenced the songwriting process for its full-length debut, tentatively due in 2011. The group states, "We're determined to spread our unique blend of crushing death metal and progressive fuck-around in a stronger, more focused fashion than ever before. The riffs will be heavier. The vocals will destroy. And you're all fucked."

Bishop will make his live debut with FACE OF RUIN on Wednesday, November 10 during an in-studio performance on Milwaukee's 91.7 WMSE radio station.
