FIRELAND: Debut Album Available

April 7, 2008

Northern Ireland heavy metal band Fireland has officially released its self-titled debut album. Visit www.fireland.tv to purchase the album or listen to a few tracks available for free download.

Recorded between December 2006 and August 2007, this self-financed and self-produced CD has been a labor of love for the members of the group. Drawing on influences from nearly 40 years of heavy metal ranging from ANNIHILATOR to the SCORPIONS, BLACK SABBATH to BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, ICED EARTH to MOLLY HATCHET the album features tracks that are wide-ranging in style, but always catchy, pounding and melodic metal.

If you remember RIFF MASTER GENERAL, who had success with the single "We Like That" a few years back, you'll instantly feel at home with the riff-based, powerful and melodic metal style Andy Baxter (vocals) and Steve Moore (guitar),both previously members of RMG, are in FIRELAND. The lineup is completed by Jamie Johnston (guitar),Jim Seymour (bass) and Chris Mawhinney (drums).

With this self-titled album now completed and available via the band's web site, promotional gigs are being lined up to put FIRELAND's own brand of twin lead-guitar heavy metal out there for fans to see. Details will be announced as they are confirmed.
