FLESHMOULD Finish Recording New EP
February 17, 2005Belgian death metal outfit FLESHMOULD have finished recording a new EP — the group's first to feature guitarist Dave Vanlokeren and singer Sven Houfflijn (ex-ANESTHESY, IMPEDIGON),who joined the band in August. The EP, entitled "Apocalyptus Rexx", was recorded at Shumcot Soundlab in Aartrijke and will contain three brand-new tracks, a re-recording of an old song and a "surprising" cover track. New songtitles set to appear on the CD are "Bitter Harvest", "Apocalyptus Rexx" and "Icarian Fall". "[We are] really satisfied with the result, the new tracks will blast for sure," the band write in a press release.
As previously reported, FLESHMOULD have finished writing 10 new songs for their sophomore album. The group are tentatively planning on entering the studio in March to begin recording the effort, tentatively due later in the year.
FLESHMOULD's full-length debut, "Incompatible Fragments", was released in 2003 through the SCRecords label. It was recorded at Shumcot Soundlab between December 2002 and January 2003 and was produced, engineered and mixed by ReinieR. Mastering duties were handled by Rudy De Keyser at DK Studio in Destelbergen, Belgium.
