Former GREAT WHITE Tour Manager To Testify For Prosecutors
February 18, 2006According to the Associated Press, prosecutors say the former tour manager of GREAT WHITE, who ignited a deadly fire at a West Warwick nightclub almost three years ago, will testify against the club's owners.
Daniel Biechele (BEEK'-lee) pleaded guilty this month to 100 counts of involuntary manslaughter and will serve less than 10 years in prison.
Documents filed by the attorney general's office say Biechele will testify about statements he gave to investigators after the February 20, 2003, fire that killed 100 people and injured more than twice that many.
When Biechele pleaded guilty, he told a judge that one of the club's owners, Michael Derderian, gave him permission to use pyrotechnics inside the building. Derderian's lawyer denies that allegation.
