In a 2017 interview with the "American Made Guitar Show", Drover said that "Imperium" would feature "just a bunch of really good singers, be it both buddies of mine that I met through my travels with the bands that I was in and became friends with or just singers that I really looked up to and really wanted to work with and hadn't worked with in the past."
Glen said that he is "really proud" of his rendition of the ALICE IN CHAINS classic "Junkhead", which features his brother Shawn Drover (ex-MEGADETH) on drums and Lance Harvill on vocals.
Drover left MEGADETH at the end of 2007 and was replaced by Chris Broderick, who previously played with NEVERMORE and JAG PANZER.
Glen's debut solo album, "Metalusion", was released in April 2011 via Magna Carta Records.
Drover said in a 2015 interview that he quit MEGADETH due to "personal stuff… I wasn't really happy at the time there, in the situation. I wasn't happy in the band at that time, and I just felt like I was away from my family too much, which I was. You know, my son was very young. It's personal, but it's true. That's what happened. He was very young, and I was missing out on a lot of his youth. And being that I wasn't happy in the band at that point, it was magnifying that. And that's pretty much what it is."
