Former MELDRUM Singer MOA HOLMSTEN Releases 'Bulldozer' Video
September 4, 2008"Bulldozer", the new video from former MELDRUM frontwoman Moa Holmsten, can be viewed below. The clip was shot at the end of February and was "produced, filmed and edited by [me] and Fredrik Magnusson," according to the singer. She adds, it "came out pretty raw and fierce."
Holmsten filmed her February 16, 2008 solo concert at Teater Scenario in Stockholm, Sweden for an upcoming DVD.
Moa announced her departure from MELDRUM earlier in the year, explaning that she "lost the fire, the dedication and the joy. My heart was not in it anymore. A heart, the only heart, I had to be honest to or I couldn't live with myself."
Moa's former MELDRUM bandmate and group leader, guitarist Michelle Meldrum, passed away on May 21 as a result of a cystic growth on her brain that had restricted oxygen and blood flow to her brain, rendering her braindead.
Michelle had just completed writing and recording MELDRUM's soon-to-be-released third album with drummer Gene Hoglan, along with the group's latest additions, Michele Madden (vocals) and Laura Christine (bass). The surviving bandmembers plan to release the CD in tribute to their fallen bandmate.
