October 18, 2006

Former PRONG drummer Dan Laudo will perform with THE MERCY CLINIC, the new San Francisco Bay Area-based band fronted by former DAMAGEPLAN vocalist Patrick Lachman, on October 24 at The Knitting Factory in Hollywood, California. Laudo will be filling in for regular THE MERCY CLINIC drummer Bevan Davies (DANZIG, COMES WITH THE FALL, JERRY CANTRELL),who is unable to make the gig due to a "scheduling conflict."

THE MERCY CLINIC — whose lineup is rounded out by guitarists Brian Harrah (PROFESSIONAL MURDER MUSIC) and Josh Stinson (DRIST),and bassist Steed Najera (TRIPLE SEVEN) — is currently in the studio recording material which it will be using to either procure a suitable record deal or release on its own. The band has uploaded full-length versions of the demo songs "Let It Burn", "Masochist" and "Can I Become Me" at its MySpace page.

THE MERCY CLINIC has already demoed over an album's worth of material, including such additional cuts as "Numb" (mp3),"Drag Me Under", "We're Only Human", and "The Day the Sun Refused to Shine".
