Former RAINBOW Bassist To Tour With TED NUGENT

April 11, 2007

According to a posting on The Rainbow Fanclan Legacy, former RAINBOW bassist Greg Smith will join Ted Nugent on his summer tour. "I was kinda looking forward to having a summer at home with the family: BBQ's, canoeing, camping, recording in the barn and just enjoying the Smith 'farm' but when Ted calls, you answer!!" Smith wrote on his MySpace page. "Rehearsals start the end of May, and tour starts in June. 'Wild' Mick Brown (DOKKEN) is playing drums and it's gonna be a fierce band and lots of fun. I'll try to stay out of jail!"

Smith was the principal bassist and backing vocalist for the Tony Award-winning Billy Joel and Twyla Tharp musical "Movin' Out" for its entire three-year run on Broadway and one year on the road.
