GAMMA RAY, CHARON, ELVENKING Confirmed For Scotland's RAGNAROK UK METALFEST

January 21, 2006

Germany's GAMMA RAY, Finland's CHARON and Italy's ELVENKING have been confirmed for the Ragnarok UK Metalfest, set to take place Saturday, November 4 at the Perth Concert Hall in Perth, Scotland. Also scheduled to appear are U.K. acts HEADLESS CROSS and INTENSE. Five more acts will be confirmed — all from overseas — and will span a range of different genres including black, death, progressive, classic and pure heavy metal.

With a 1,600 capacity, both seated and standing, the Perth Concert Hall provides a modern, up-to-date structure with technical facilities capable of hosting such an event and provides a central location within Scotland that makes it easy for fans to get to. Links from England couldn't be easier, with Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee airports all within easy reach. A frequent GNER and Virgin train timetable and National Express coach services from throughout the U.K. direct to Perth bus station.

On the day itself, 10 bands — eight international acts and two U.K. acts will span 12 hours from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. with the customary Metal Market, Prize Draws and other top notch attractions. On Friday, November 3, the day before the festival, an exclusive pre-show party will be held in a venue that is still to be confirmed, with at least five bands — one a top international act.
