GEORGE LYNCH Says His New Band Is 'Amazingly Fun'

December 20, 2003

Guitarist George Lynch (DOKKEN, LYNCH MOB) has issued the following update via his regular newsletter:

"I'm doing a New Year's Eve all-star show at 'Live' in Las Vegas with some members of GUNS N' ROSES, MÖTLEY and RATT +??.

"The new 'LYNCH' band is and amazingly fun thing to be involved in. All the guys are great to hang with and the on stage magic is incredible every night. We're doing a little wider variety of material than LYNCH MOB did and it's a lot looser vibe — some jamming and very spontaneous.

"The 'LYNCH' band starts with Mike 'Fro' Frowen on drums. Just tearing it up and he sings 'Smoke This' too!

"Marten Andersson is the bassist and he's ridiculous. He's sort of a closet MI guy but he's embarrassed about that so he only does 15-minute bass solos consisting of all 8 Paganini fugues! Very quiet and reserved.

"Chaz West is the vocalist and his pipes are unbelievable but not so much in the '80s vein, more of a '70s Robert Plant vibe.

"The tour has been going great with outstanding audiences at every show. With only a few more shows this year we hope to see you out there. The whole reason we do this is for the fans that support us and we love you for that.

"We have new items in the Mob Shop so check them out. Look for the new LYNCH MOB live DVD coming out early in 2004. We now offer the 'Mr. Scary' T-Shirt in short sleeve. Also you will find tour laminates in the Mob Shop along with other new stuff."
