GOD DETHRONED: Greek Dates Cancelled

November 16, 2006

Dutch death metallers GOD DETHRONED have cancelled their previously announced dates in Athens (Dec. 9) and Thessaloniki (Dec. 10),Greece. "Everything was already arranged weeks ago and we were really looking forward to play Greece again," the group writes on its web site. "However, in the last couple of days we have experienced how certain people can be totally unprofessional and can't stick to their promises, and that's why we decided to pull back before damage is done. We wanna apologize to all our Greek fans who were planning to visit one of the shows. Hopefully we'll be able to play Greece again next year, so be patient."

GOD DETHRONED's new album, "The Toxic Touch", was released in the U.S. on November 7 via Metal Blade Records. The CD was recorded at Soundlodge Studios in Germany with producer Joerg Uken. Mastering was handled at Wisseloord Studios in Holland.
