GODHATE Is Back In Business!

April 9, 2008

Guitarist/vocalist Tony Freed of the Swedish death metallers GODHATE (formerly THRONEAEON) has issued the following update:

"GODHATE is back in business!

"Some of you might have wondered what was going on in the GODHATE camp during these last one and a half year. And while some of you bastards smiled behind my back, I was reforming the band with new members and now we're booked for some shows during spring 2008.

"So, yes, finally the old members decided to leave the ship. Clabbe [Ramberg, bass] already had problems with his back and wasn't able to perform live. Jens [Klovegrd, guitar] was tired, for some years back, of death metal and didn't enjoy playing it either. Roger [Sundquist, drums] had for several years left and got back in the band again and now when the other guys left he said that he didn't want to look for new members.

"At first I decided to keep on with the band myself, and for a period I was even determined to let it rest in peace. (At this time, I formed a new project called INNERSANE.) But I had one guy from Yttermalung, Sweden, who earlier (autumn 2006) announced his interest to replace Clabbe. He got in touch again and I told him about the situation but he was still interested in playing togheter so he joined the new project. Some months later a friend called me up and told me he knew a drummer that could fit GODHATE. We tried it out and the vibes felt great. I was still unsure wether I should continue with GODHATE and now I was only focused on INNERSANE. I told the drummer that he could move in and start to rehearse the songs. As time passed by I saw his progress and by the beginning of fall 2007 we started to rehearse. I also began to write some songs and slowly the band was getting back in business.

"A new era for GODHATE is at hand! REVENGE!"

GODHATE in 2005 issued their debut four-song EP, entitled "Anguish". The CD was recorded at Fast Forward Studio with Johan Green and the Kuusisto brothers from CARNAL FORGE at the helm.
