GOREFEST: 'La Muerte' Track Listing Revealed
August 3, 2005Reunited Dutch metallers GOREFEST have revealed the track listing for their new album, "La Muerte", due in Europe on October 30 via Nuclear Blast Records.
"La Muerte" was recorded at Excess studio in Rotterdam, Holland with engineer Hans Pieters. Mixing duties will be handled in August by Tue Madsen (THE HAUNTED, ABORTED, DISBELIEF, BORN FROM PAIN) at Antfarm studio in Denmark.
Commente guitarist Frank Harthoorn: "Five weeks of letting the metal flow every way possible. Fast, slow, hyperfast, ultraslow, grooving, marching, bleeding and sweating. We're all very pleased with the results so far. Now it's up to Mr. Madsen to mix everything 'till speakers bleed. Very special thanks to Hans and Dennis at Excess Studio for putting up with us and all of our peculiar habits, and for helping us with everything they could. Much appreciated!
"We're taking a few days rest, and friday it's off to Wacken Open Air. After that, on August 6, we'll be rocking the Turkish nation in Istanbul. We've never been there before, and we're really looking forward to it!"

Nuclear Blast Records last month reissued the entire GOREFEST back catalog, complete with unreleased tracks, demos and other rarities. Everything was remastered, and booklets contain liner notes by renowned Dutch journalist and writer Robert Haagsma, along with many pics from the band's own private stash. In addition, Nuclear Blast has thrown in a cool box in which to store all the CDs from the collection.
