GRAVE DIGGER: New Venue Announced For New York City Concert

August 23, 2007

The one-off North American appearance by the German power metallers GRAVE DIGGER on March 2, 2008 has been moved from the B.B. King Blues Club & Grill to the Highline Ballroom in New York City. Tickets are available exclusively via EnterTheVault.com until September 12, at which point tickets will be available through Ticketmaster as well.

GRAVE DIGGER's new album, "Liberty or Death", entered the German Media Control chart in January 2007 at position No. 30. This is the second highest chart entry in GRAVE DIGGER's history. The band's "Excalibur" CD debuted at No. 21 back in 1999.

"Liberty or Death" was released in North America on January 30 via Locomotive Records. An e-card for GRAVE DIGGER's maxi-single "Yesterday", which was released on October 10, 2006, is available at this location.

For the "Yesterday" single, vocalist Chris Boltendahl, guitarist Mani Schmidt, bassist Jens Becker, drummer Stefan Arnold and keyboardist HP Katzenburg took the song from the cult favorite "Heavy Metal Breakdown" album, and have combined it with a new song, "The Reaper's Dance", as well as their cover of "No Quarter", which previously appeared on a LED ZEPPELIN tribute album. An orchestral version of "Yesterday" rounds out the CD portion of this double-disc. Packaged within this ambitious project is a special DVD, taken from the band's performance at Spain's Rock Machina Festival in 2001.
