Guitarist GUS G. Quits NIGHTRAGE

March 14, 2006

Guitarist Gus G. has officially left Greek/Swedish melodic death metallers NIGHTRAGE. His official statement on the matter reads as follows:

"After long discussions with Marios [Iliopoulos, NIGHTRAGE mainman/guitarist], we both decided that it's best for me to stop playing with NIGHTRAGE.

"The reason behind this decision is that I simply don't have enough time these days to write, rehearse and tour with the band, whenever they decide to do so.

"I've felt bad that I couldn't tour 100% with NIGHTRAGE and only played selected shows. NIGHTRAGE IS an active band and needs its members to be there 100%.

"The new line-up is killer and everyone gets along. I don't wanna be the weak link. On the other hand, I need to give my own band (FIREWIND) full attention as well.

"So from now on, we go separate ways. However, we decided to do one last show together at the Inferno festival in Oslo, Norway on April 13th. So, I'd be very happy to see as many of you as possible that day, as I'll descend into chaos one last time with my NIGHTRAGE brothers!

"Marios, Henric, Fotis and Jimmie: I had a blast playing and making music with you, love ya! Special thanx to all the crazy metalheads that supported and keep supporting NIGHTRAGE!"

NIGHTRAGE are currently auditioning guitarists. Interested parties ccan contact the group at [email protected].

NIGHTRAGE released their highly acclaimed second full-length album, "Descent Into Chaos", last year on Century Media Records.
