HAMMERFALL: New Album Samples Posted Online

February 17, 2005

A brand new HAMMERFALL e-card, featuring streaming audio samples of all 10 songs from the group's forthcoming CD, "Chapter V: Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken", can be accessed at this location.

"Chapter V: Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken" is scheduled for release on March 7 via Nuclear Blast Records. The follow-up to 2002's "Crimson Thunder" was produced and mixed by Charlie Bauernfeind (BLIND GUARDIAN, HELLOWEEN).

In other news, HAMMERFALL guitarist Oscar Dronjak has posted the following message on the group's official web site:

"Last week was a tremendous success for us! The playback gig looked far better than I had imagined, and the live performances at the end of the week were well recieved by everyone. Including us! I would like to take the opportunity to thank the hosts and producers and everyone who were working there for having us on their shows and making us feel so welcome and appreciated. It was a fantastic experience, and I hope we can do it again!

"Live news: in what could concievably be regarded as something of a warm-up for the Ice Breaker Festivals at the end of April (see tour section for details),we are going to jump start the touring in Finland. That's right, the Finns will be the first to catch a HAMMERFALL show since August 2003 (which, incidentally, took place on Mallorca). Here are the details:

Apr. 07 - Nosturi - Helsinki, FIN
Apr. 08 - Luttako - Jyväskylä, FIN

"And, at long last, HAMMERFALL will return to the Wacken Open Air in August! No date is scheduled yet, but that will come shortly. We haven't played there since 2001, so it will be great to be back on what is one of Europe's biggest and longest-running metal festivals.

"If everything goes as planned, May will bring us to both Japan and South America. I have to point out, though, that this is by no means confirmed, so don't get your hopes up too high. As always, more info on that when and if I have it."
