HANOI ROCKS Singer Auctioning Harmonicas For Charity
October 24, 2007HANOI ROCKS frontman Michael Monroe has donated two of his harmonicas to be auctioned as part of Finland's "Red Nose Day", where everybody is invited to join in and help children in developing countries. People wearing red noses will collect money for a good cause by arranging fun events.
Finland's first Red Nose Day takes place late in October 2007 and will culminate in a live broadcast by YLE TV2. This broadcast, nearly six hours long, will screen a never-before-seen package of entertainment by top names in music and comedy, along with moving stories about projects funded by Ylen Hyvä.
The symbol of Red Nose Day is a plastic red nose. In Britain, Red Nose Day, which was launched over 20 years ago as part of the Comic Relief program, is immensely popular. On this day, people wear red noses and come together to invent fun ways of collecting money to help those in need. The performances are original, and sometimes bizarre, but always entertaining. With the launch of Red Nose Day in Finland, Ylen Hyvä now offers Finns new and fun ways to help others.
