HATESPHERE: In Writing Mode

August 23, 2006

Danish metallers HATESPHERE have posted the following message on their official web site:

"We are at the moment in the process of writing songs for the new CD, and it's going really well. It's always a bitch to get the writing process started, but this time has been pretty smooth, and we already have two songs done.

"To everyone in good ol' Germany — remember to watch 'Newcomer TV' Sonntagnacht 27.08.06 WDR Fernsehen 3:00 Uhr which will feature a special about the Traffic Jam festival we played a few weeks ago. We will be on there, messing around and drinking beer while trying to do an interview, haha — should be good fun.

"When we played the amazing Hellfest this year, our concert was filmed for the coming Hellfest 2006 DVD. I just saw the footage and its damn good — check it out, and buy the DVD which features a lot of other great bands who played at the festival too."

As previously reported, HATESPHERE will team up with RAUNCHY and VOLBEAT for the Danish Dynamite Tour beginning November 15 in Hamburg, Germany.

SPV Records has set a September 12, 2006 North American release date for the new HATESPHERE album, entitled "The Sickness Within". The follow-up to 2004's "Ballet of the Brute", which was released in Europe last September, was recorded in part at Jailhouse Studios with producer Tommy Hansen (HELLOWEEN, PRETTY MAIDS). Guitars and bass were recorded at Hansen Studios in Ribe, Denmark, with producer Jacob Hansen (RAUNCHY, INVOCATOR).
