HEAVEN AND HELL's VINNY APPICE To Guest On KNAC.COM's 'WildSide'
January 28, 2007Legendary drummer Vinny Appice (BLACK SABBATH, DIO, HEAVEN AND HELL) will be the special guest of Diana DeVille on next week's episode of KNAC.COM's "WildSide". Appice will likely be discussing his current musical projects, such as his involvement with HEAVEN AND HELL and his new band, 3 LEGGED DOGG, which also features Chas West (BONHAM) on vocals, Carlos Cavazo (QUIET RIOT) on guitar, Brian Young (DAVID LEE ROTH) on guitar and Jimmy Bain (RAINBOW, DIO) on bass. "WildSide" will air on Saturday, February 3 at 4:00 p.m. PST.
HEAVEN AND HELL's sole U.S. concert this spring, which is scheduled for March 30 at the Radio City Music Hall (capacity: 6,000) in New York City, officially sold out approximately 45 minutes after tickets went on sale at 10:00 a.m. this past Friday (January 26).
HEAVEN AND HELL — the band made up of BLACK SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi and bassist Geezer Butler, singer Ronnie James Dio, and Appice — will kick off a world tour with 11 Canadian dates beginning March 11 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and wrapping up March 28 in Ottawa, with opening acts MEGADETH and DOWN. Additional U.S. dates will come later in the year.
The shows are expected to only feature material from Dio's era with BLACK SABBATH, including three new songs that were recorded for the upcoming anthology "Black Sabbath: The Dio Years" that's due April 3rd.
HEAVEN AND HELL is also planning to his Europe and Asia, and the band expects to be on the road until the end of the year.
