HORDE's 'Hellig Usvart' To Be Reissued In May

April 21, 2008

On May 19 (Europe) / July 8 (USA),Metal Mind will release a remastered version of the 1994 album by HORDE a Christian black metal project of Australian musician Jayson Sherlock, formerly of MORTIFICATION and PARAMAECIUM.

"Hellig Usvart" pioneered the previously unheard genre of "Christian black metal (sometimes referred to as "HUBM" for "Holy UnBlack Metal"). The album is parody of the Norwegian satanic black metal scene as it twists common black metal phrases into a Christian ideal. The message of the album is generally the destruction and rejection of Satan, in favor of God. The album was unavailable for a long time and since its initial release sought by many! The new digipack edition includes three bonus tracks recorded live during HORDE's one and only live show (Oslo in 2006)! The limited-edition title (limited to 2,000 copies) will be made available on golden disc, digitally remastered using 24-bit technology.
