I AM GHOST Releases Behind-The-Scenes Footage From European Tour
November 12, 2008Southern California's I AM GHOST has released behind-the-scenes video footage from its current European tour with Century Media recording artists BLESSED BY A BROKEN HEART.
"This European tour has been dream-like and surreal. From playing the beautiful town of Athens, Greece to selling out the Melkweg in Amsterdam; we have dreamt about doing a tour like this our whole lives," says I AM GHOST frontman Steve Juliano. "Tonight we are in Berlin where 30 years ago no American band would be playing, how cool is that? The fans here in Europe are some of the nicest people we have ever met, and we can not thank them enough for supporting us on our first European I AM GHOST tour!"
I AM GHOST recently released its sophomore album, "Those We Leave Behind", through Epitaph Records. Recorded with producer Paul Leavitt (SENSES FAIL, THE BLED, CIRCA SURVIVE) in Baltimore, Maryland, the album takes the band's dark brand of rock and pierces it with sharp metallic riffs and soaring melodic choruses that sweep listeners off their feet. The album builds on the strong following that I AM GHOST has built touring for the past two years alongside AIDEN, ESCAPE THE FATE, EYES SET TO KILL and with the Vans Warped Tour.
Conceived by former animator/artist Juliano, I AM GHOST was formed in the fall of 2004 in an attempt to create a style of music that not only rocked but also explored the beauty within darkness. After finding fellow musicians who shared his vision, Juliano and crew recorded the group's "We Are Always Searching" EP and quickly started building a strong following throughout southern California. In 2005 the group signed with punk-rock powerhouse Epitaph Records for the release of its debut full-length "Lovers' Requiem", which saw the band develop a national cult following of loyal fans who gobbled up more than 20,000 copies of the album.
