3 INCHES OF BLOOD Part Ways With Drummer, Announce Replacement

July 30, 2005

Canadian metallers 3 INCHES OF BLOOD have posted the following message on their official web site:

"We're days away from starting another round of touring in the United States of America. This time, with CHIMAIRA, SIX FEET UNDER and All THAT REMAINS, something is different. Matt Wood is no longer the drummer for 3 INCHES OF BLOOD. Matt informed us last month that he would be leaving the band once we got home at the end of June. The reasons given were both musical and personal, but there's no animosity between us. We respect Matt's decision, but are moving forward and still playing. Filling in the vacant percussion spot is Alexei Rodriguez. Formerly a skin basher with the likes of CATHARSIS and WALLS OF JERICHO, Alexei is an old friend of Brian Redman's going back to the days they were both in TRIAL. We're looking forward to introducing Alexei to our fans over the course of these next few tours. With that said, we're going to be direct support for EXODUS on their U.S. tour in October. We will not be stopped or even slowed down. Keep metal evil."

3 INCHES OF BLOOD are touring in support of their latest CD, "Advance and Vanquish", available now on Roadrunner Records.
