INFERNO MUSIC CONFERENCE Schedule Revealed

Oslo, Norway's Inferno Metal Festival has become a sold-out success each year, as well as an annual gathering of the international metal industry. In 2006, in collaboration with MFO, the Inferno organizers launched the Inferno Music Conference (IMC) as a professional get-together for the metal and rock scene during the festival. This year they are putting together the second edition of IMC: Promoters, journalists, designers, artists, managements, labels, venues, booking agencies, photographers — if metal music is your business… join in!

Thursday, April 5:

11:00-13:00 Accreditation, mingling
13:00-13:15 Welcome to Inferno and the IMC
13:15-14:30 Speed meetings, part 1
14:30-14:45 Pause
14:45-16:00 Speed meetings, part 2
16:00-18:00 Mingling party at Sentrum Scene - hosted by Music Export Norway

Friday, April 6:

12:00-13:00 Accreditation, mingling
13:00-14:00 Keynote/interview with Danny Lilker — the bass player who has played with ANTHRAX, NUCLEAR ASSAULT, S.O.D., BRUTAL TRUTH and CRUCIFIST takes the attendees through the history of extreme metal from the early '80s till now.
14:30-15:00 Pause
15:00-16:00 Panel: "Can you manage a metal band?"
Debate: "Why is the metal scene in lack of professional managers in Norway?" Do bands here need managers?
