Initial Results Of BLACK SABBATH Poll Suggest Drop In OZZY's Popularity

January 20, 2005

The initial results of a recent poll conducted at BLACK SABBATH fan site Black-Sabbath.com seem to suggest that Ozzy Osbourne has suffered a falling out among BLACK SABBATH fans since the winter of 2000.

When asked what BLACK SABBATH should do in 2005, a narrow majority (53%) of those responding to the poll favor Ozzy's continued role as a the frontman of BLACK SABBATH. This figure represents a significant decline in Ozzy's popularity since January of 2000, in which a similar poll showed that 70% of responders favored Ozzy's role as BLACK SABBATH's frontman. The results of both polls can be viewed here.

In related news, a recent tongue-in-cheek petition calling for Ozzy Osbourne to be fired from BLACK SABBATH for lack of commitment managed to generate over 1,000 signatures in two days, despite its facetious nature and the subsequent apologetic clarification of its author.
