IRIS DIVINE: New Single Released

June 9, 2009

Progressive alternative/metal band IRIS DIVINE, based in Alexandria, Virginia, has released its new single "Broken (Arms of Heaven)", produced and mixed by Kevin 131 of Assembly Line Studios (RAVEN, PROJECT: FAILING FLESH).

According to the band, "Broken" combines the moodier moments of bands like OPETH and PORCUPINE TREE with a driving, memorable rock chorus, and connects with progressive/ metal fans without sacrificing mainstream radio appeal or musicianship. From the melancholy, piano-accented verses to the soaring chorus and modern metal riffing, the track reflects IRIS DIVINE's ability to combine melody and aggression within a song-oriented context.

IRIS DIVINE independently released itw debut EP in 2008, with a growing reputation as a unique addition to the progressive/ metal scene, among critics and fans alike.

"Broken (Arms of Heaven)" and the IRIS DIVINE EP are available on iTunes, and can be heard at the band's MySpace page.
