IRON MAIDEN Mania In Peru

March 25, 2009

LivingInPeru.com reports that a massive group of Peruvian heavy metal fans gathered outside of Jorge Chavez International Airport on Wednesday afternoon (May 25) in the hopes of getting a glimpse of the English band IRON MAIDEN as they arrived to Peru.

Dressed in black t-shirts and with all kinds of fan gear, including a carved wooden statue of Eddie the skeleton, fans anxiously waited as the '80s band arrived in their private plane — the Ed Force One.

Parents had even taken children as young as two years old wearing IRON MAIDEN shirts to receive the members of the band.

As Nicko McBrain got off the plane he stated he was happy to be in Peru and that it was a beautiful country.

He pointed to a reporter and said there were beautiful women and the weather was fantastic.

With 40,000 tickets already sold and people camping outside the Estadio Nacional in Lima, it is expected that the national stadium will be jam packed.
