As previously reported, CAMP FREDDY — the Los Angeles-based "jam" band consisting of JANE'S ADDICTION guitarist Dave Navarro, former THE CULT touring bassist Billy Morrison (on guitar),VELVET REVOLVER/ex-GUNS N' ROSES drummer Matt Sorum, and vocalist Donovan Leitch (the son of 1960s U.K. folk-rock icon Donovan) — have resumed work on their debut album, tentatively due later in the year via Sanctuary Records. The CD is being produced by Mike Clink (GUNS N' ROSES) and is rumored to be an album of covers, featuring guest singers, guitarists and even the odd guest drummer or two (including Cantrell, ex-THE CULT axeman Billy Duffy, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS drummer Chad Smith and singer Macy Gray). An extension of the live show, the record will feature 12 songs, the basic tracks for which were recorded last year.
