JIMI HENDRIX Limited Edition Sculpture To Arrive In December

September 28, 2006

KnuckleBonz, Inc. has announced the creation of a Jimi Hendrix Limited Edition Sculpture (check out photos at this location) as the latest figure in the Guitar Hero sculpture series. Jimi is portrayed along with his Fender Stratocaster. The sculpture is a black-and-white hand-painted collectible that stands 9" tall on top a wooden base. The piece is hand-numbered and limited to only 3,000 available worldwide.

The sculpture is an officially licensed figure through Authentic Hendrix, LLC as well as Fender Musical Instruments Corporation. The sculpture is scheduled to ship December 2006 in time for upcoming holiday delivery. Pre-orders for Jimi Hendrix Limited Edition Sculpture can be taken at www.guitarhero.com. Pre-ordering allows customers to reserve one of these rare collectibles before it actually ships. Orders are fulfilled in the order they are received.

Jimi's paint scheme is done in black and white to hearken back to the famous images of the 60's and 70's. This is the first in a "retrospective" series of black-and-white figures to be created by the makers of the Guitar Hero series.

This is the first of two Jimi Hendrix sculptures the company is producing. The second sculpture, slated for a late 2007 release date, will be created in an entirely different pose and attire and will be portrayed in full color, in keeping with the other figures produced to date in the series.

"The great guitarists of rock are in their own universe and Jimi was the Big Bang. Everything was different in music after he hit the scene in 1966 and '67," says Tony Simerman, President and Creative Director of KnuckleBonz, Inc. "The black-and-white paint scheme of this sculpture pays homage to that time."

Widely recognized as one of the most creative and influential musicians of the 20th century, Jimi Hendrix pioneered the explosive possibilities of the electric guitar. Hendrix's innovative style of combining fuzz, feedback and controlled distortion created a new musical form. Hendrix is the epitome of a guitar legend and an obvious subject for the Guitar Hero sculpture series.

The Jimi Hendrix Limited Edition Sculpture has been created using a skilled team of artists to sculpt a remarkable likeness of the guitarist, cast the figure in a poly-resin material and hand-paint each figure in fine detail.

Pricing and Availability: The Jimi Hendrix Guitar Hero Limited Edition Sculpture will be available in December 2006. The figure sells for $99 and can be purchased via www.guitarhero.com.
