JUDAS PRIEST's TIPTON To Guest On TONY IOMMI's Radio Show

February 3, 2006

JUDAS PRIEST's Glenn Tipton will be BLACK SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi's guest this week on his "Black Sunday" radio show on Planet Rock. Tipton will be choosing his five favorite classic rock tracks during the last half hour of the show. The two-hour radio show kicks off Sunday, February 5 at 7:00 p.m. U.K. time and is available to listen online worldwide at www.planetrock.com. Listeners in the U.K. can also tune in via DAB Digital Radio and via Sky Channel 861, NTL channel 680 or Telewest Channel 924.

Planet Rock had previously issued the following description of Iommi's program: "Each week, Tony will be joined by colleagues and friends from all walks of life who indulge in a common passion for rock music. He will also share his experiences from over 30 years at the top table of rock’s aristocracy, and reveal the stories behind BLACK SABBATH's most famous songs. Tony will also invite unsigned bands to send in their demos and will play his pick on air."

As previously reported, Rhino Records has set a March 7 release date for the forthcoming reissue of Tipton's solo debut, 1997's "Baptizm of Fire", and the collection of Tipton's recordings with the late, great THE WHO bassist John Entwistle and drummer Cozy Powell (RAINBOW, BLACK SABBATH),entitled "Edge of the World".
